Are you considering a touring caravan holiday in the West Norfolk and Fen region?

We are a new CL in West Norfolk offering 5 individual pitches with electric hookups adjacent to out day ticket fishery 'Heron Pool'.

We are very pleased to introduce our 'Camping and Caravanning Club' members CL at our Grasslands site.

Grasslands" is situated 5 miles east of King's Lynn and represents one of the best rural locations in the heart of Norfolk.  The site has two small lakes, trees and open pasture and is surrounded by the gentle fields and hills of East Anglia.  Be warned, time really does stand still here!

The site offers just five individual pitches for caravans and a level rally site (suitable for up to 20 caravans) if required.  It has chemical disposal facilities and mains water supply.  It is surrounded by hedging and is secure.  The entrance gate is locked at night.

(Because of the deep water lakes, the site is not suitable for children under 10 or pets).

"Grasslands" is surrounded by the most beautiful parts of Norfolk.  World-class bird reserves at Titchwell (Bill Oddie's favourite), Snettisham and Blakeney; sailing from Brancaster Staithe and Hunstanton; the salt marshes of North Norfolk and seal watching from Morston Quay; beautiful sandy beaches at Brancaster, Old Hunstanton and Hunstanton.  And… we haven't mentioned the Queen's Estate at Sandringham (5 miles), Thomas Cokes' Holkham Hall (15 miles) and Robert Walpole's Houghton Hall (10 miles.  We'll have to stop now, otherwise you'll think it's too good to be true!

However, we must mention the fishing.  Although the main lake at “Grasslands” is reserved for syndicate fishing, a limited number of day permits are available to our holidaymakers. Heron Pool, a pleasant pond with an island and stocked with Carp, Tench and Bream for day ticket fishing. If this does not meet your requirements,  Chris is a leading Fisheries Consultant in the area and can offer you tickets to some of the best fishing available.

v                    Only Landing nets supplied by us may be used on this fishery.

v                    Keepnets and Carpsacks are not permitted

v                    Fishing is on a day permit basis, swims must be booked in advance.

v                    Fishing from permanent swims only

v                    All fish to be returned alive.

v                    Use of on site boats is not permitted

v                    No rods to be left unattended.

v                    No fires to be lit.

v                    No litter to be left.

v                    Barbless hooks or squashed barbs to be used at all times.

v                    A maximum of 2 rods may be used or set up at all times.

v                    Baitboats are not allowed

v                    Bent hook rigs or multi-hooked rigs are not allowed.

v                    Wire traces and abrasive lines are strictly forbidden.

v                    Cars to be parked in designated areas only.

v                    No additional guests on site unless by prior arrangement.

 

Please make a note of your visit (even if you do not catch!) in the log book which can be found in the front reception hut.

3 Pubs serving good food

An excellent Fish & Chip shop

Local stores offering vegetables etc. 

And a Caravan retailer

 

Should some more adventurous fishing be in order, we run a number of fisheries and have a sound knowledge of the fishing in our area.

It's possible for us to arrange a different lake each day for you to fish in a weeks holiday, all within a short distance of our caravan site.
